Jon Bon Jovi Sucks Hard
Jon Bon Jovi is reportedly disgusted that Axl Rose gets more media attention than he does because the reclusive Guns N’ Roses frontman “hasn’t made a record in 13 years.” Jon can’t seem to get over the fact that the press will always be more fascinated with the bad boy legacy of Guns N’ Roses than they are with his crappy band. He fumes:
“You know what I’ve done in 13 years? A lot. But they have continued to write about the freak show aspect of him. Because he’s a recluse. That makes him interesting, right?”
I know what he’s done in 13 years: shitty music. The fact that such a tool dares to compare himself to Axl Rose is beyond my comprehension. I enjoy his “rock” music as much as the sound of the toilet flushing.

I could care less about either. It would be nice if they both called it quits from the crappy music they make. But I could stand axl more than Gay Jovi. Bon Jovi, Nickelback, and the rest of those simple overplayed radio bands should be put into a new genre of music, GAY Rock. I read today this homo forced a guy to change the name of his energy drink named mijovi. He said it sounded to much like bon jovi. And can we really call bon jovi a band? I don’t even know what the musicians names are. The rason is because there is no talent in that pop band. Hopefully the talent of the 70′s will reemmerge from bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Yes, ELP, King Crimson, Genesis, Supertramp and many of the others who contributed to the greatest era in music. Bon Jovi does not even close the creativity that those bands. Its not even opinion, its a fact. Unfortunately there world has an epidemic of half ass music fans that will listen to this shit. On the other hand, W. Axl Rose may not be considered the nicest man alive. But, by whose standards??? American????

Listened to Bon Jovi, unaware of who he was and is. It is just plain obvious he is singing directly to girls. I don’t even pay attention to lyrics, which I’m sure have more proof, but the tone of his voice is entirely filled with fake sensitivity.
Business is business, his target audience is girls, and his dream is to be a star. He’s achieving his desired outcome, but those who see the phony as he is just sit in delight watching the painfully ignorant and slower enticed women of this era – worshipping him.

I grew up in the 80s… some BJ songs bring up some somewhat nostalgic feelings… but so does Mad Max and and my Atari 2600. It doesn’t change the fact that it sucks by any real standard.
Don’t get my wrong, old music can be great, the beatles were great and Zeppelin rules! But BJ is just a relic from a very culturally dismal era. Compare it with real bands of today, like coldplay or radiohead, he’s just a fake. Listening to BJ can bring back some old memories, but thats about it.
Listening to people who consider him a real artist, or worse, BJ considering himself like John Lennon or Paul McCartney makes me want to puke.
Axl is an asshole, but G&R still had at least a little bit of tallent. It makes no difference to me if people are assholes if their music kicks ass. I mean John Lennon and Paul McCartney are (or were) probably humongous conceited assholes in real life, but does it matter?
Ok i’m rambling now… it just pisses me off.

They’ve been rocking for bout 25 yrs, and giving their fans exactly what they wany…Their songs are bout love, life and having a good time. The whole band has donated to charities and they sing for a cause, Jon wasnt a success over night, he had to work his ass off! Although I agree that some of Bon Jovi’s songs on recent albums are too aoft, and corny (especially the country sounding crap), their old stuff, a lot of it, is incredible. I am a big Bon Jovi fan, mostly of their old stuff. What I can’t believe is their Unplugged performance on MHD (Music in High Def channel). They did some stupid version of “You Give Love a Bad Name” in like a ska, or bop, swing style. It was so bad, and I am saying this as a big Jovi fan. They butchered all of their songs in that unplugged performance.
I respect Van Halen. Why? Because they’ve never agreed to do an Unplugged performance of any of their songs. Their reason? Because Eddie says their songs were written a certain way, and they should be played that way. If they were written and recorded to be Unplugged then so be it, but he said we are not changing how we play our music so we can be on Unplugged. Respect a person like that, because he surely turned down a lot of money to remain true to his music, not desecrating its memory by playing it the way they band wrote it. Bon Jovi continuiously desecrates their classic greats by not only playing it at these Unplugged fiascos, but playing them in a completely different corny style.
Despite the drawbacks I just mentioned, these guys still wrote some awesome songs. Here are another few songs for you haters that are undeniably good… “Born to be My Baby” off New Jersey, “Dry County” off Keep the Faith, “Runaway” off 1st album (self titled), “Without You” off Slippery When Wet,

What have BJ wrote recently that is actually any good? In my opinion they really should get back to basics and write the type of music they are good at- Big hair rock. Remember that BJ isn’t just Jon either, Slash has done slashs snakepit and Velvet revolver, both id say kick the ass outta BJ latest stuff – Why? coz they stuck to what they do best. I’m 32 years old. My band plays a couple songs from Jovi. Old stuff. Runaway and Born to be My Baby. Those songs absolutely rock, and we play these songs while playing songs by GnR, Korn, Godsmack, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. The crowds love those Jovi songs even considering they are fans of the heavier stuff we play. People are just jealous of JBJ.

It is quite funny how you losers have absolutely no clue about good, genuine music. Unlike 90% of the bands that might have been half as successful as Bon Jovi, they write their own lyrics, and execute them with an amazing onstage performance. Obviously they must be doing something right with over 25 years of unbeatable success. They are still selling out arenas and hitting the top of the charts with all of their albums.
I think it’s safe to say that anyone who would make a rediculous comment that “bon Jovi sucks”, is unhappy with themselves and maybe they should research how incedible this band really is.

I think Bon Jovi are an overrated band basically for the good looks of Jon Bon Jovi. The only thing I think Jon is good at is making his tunes catchy, basically. The reason the band Bon Jovi can be referred to as a ‘he’ is because Jon Bon Jovi is the band. He runs things and the others are his back-up musos. I do think he has certain ballads that sound similar because I have noticed “Bed of Roses” and “Always” sound kind of alike. Still Jon seems obsessed with making such a mass audience to appeal to even die-hard metalheads. Y’know, the kind of people who usually only appreciate Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, all of that pure unadultered metal stuff and despise hair bands, despite Bon Jovi being one of those hair bands from the 1980′s. Richie Sambora is a good guitarist, but he would be better off of his solo career than with Bon Jovi. You can see why Richie’s solo albums flopped commercially compared to Jon’s solo albums. Because the band was about Jon Bon Jovi. At least, compared to Jon, Richie was more about the music, but in the band, all of the attention goes to Jon Bon Jovi. Sure, Richie got mentioned in magazines for his marriages, but he is not why the band is incredibly popular. Also, Jon Bon Jovi is against iTunes because he thought that iPods killed music, when in reality, he doesn’t give a fuck about his music. He’s about being commercial. I always thought their first two albums were underrated affairs, but the reason they don’t play songs from them (with the exception of “Runaway”) when they play live is because Jon achieved what he wanted with Slippery When Wet. That’s why they only play songs from Slippery When Wet and every subsequent album since then. The only reason they are known to be awesome live is because they have sold out more stadiums than any rock band ever, even more than Led Zeppelin ever did in their 12 years as a band. The one thing I think Bon Jovi fans should do is get a reality check and see what goal Jon Bon Jovi, using the four musos, wants with the band and his career.

Another thing I have heard about Jon Bon Jovi is that he claims that he denies that he has sold his soul to the devil for commerciality, and I think that is just 100% bullshit, considering the fact that his music has appealed to billions of people the world over, not to mention the fact that he changes the way he looks and sounds all the time in order to fit with the times. Also, about the song “Livin’ on a Prayer”. Not only did that song make No. 1 on VH1′s Top 100 Greatest Songs of the 80′s, but since I hail from Australia, the music channel MAX did a show called the essential 20, and one episode was the 80′s. Guess what song made No. 1 on that list? You guessed it, “Livin’ on a Prayer”. Well, I know that he has never abandoned hard pop/rock that’s for sure. Even though he denies selling out to the masses, he actually admitted on the Graham Norton show that he mainly got into music for the girls, not the music. That’s why I said he doesn’t really care for his own music. At least he is a heavenly god compared to some of the biggest abominations in music business today: the Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber. Also, I have heard that the creator of iTunes and iPods: Steve Jobs, died last month, and because of this, Jon might go over to where his grave his and spit on it because of how he accused Steve Jobs of killing the music biz through those two inventions. Still, Jon Bon Jovi is obsessed with fame and being the center of attention that he tries to do everything he can to sustain it.

Both Jon Bon Jovi and Axl Rose suck ass. Guns and Roses was far more serious than Bon Jovi though and anybody knows that. The fact that both of them are desperately trying to hold onto some semblance of fame in the face of being a has-been is pathetic. Either do something new and significant or fuck the fuck off. We are all tired of shitty adult comtemporary wanabe rock. Axl, I’ll still go to your concert in Vancouver, but you’ve gotta try a little harder to be relevant in today’s rock and roll world.
