Mike Tyson is Really Scary
Isadore Bolton, a driver and personnal assistant for boxing promoter Don King, has settled his lawsuit against Mike Tyson for about $275,000. Isadore’s leg had been gnawed by the former heavyweight champ on the side of a higway.
The road-rage incident occurred in May 2003 when King, Tyson and an entourage snaked north on I-95 near Fort Lauderdale. According to court papers, Tyson halted the caravan by forcing his chauffeur to park on the median. When Bolton arrived, Tyson was furiously pacing the median and yelling obscenities. As the 6-foot, 300-pound Bolton tried to convince Tyson to get back in his car, Tyson allegedly punched him in the face twice, breaking a bone. After Bolton fell down, Tyson bit his leg, causing “heavy bleeding.” “I was just trying to help. He was in the middle of traffic,” Bolton said. “Mike is easily ticked off. He’s apologized several times.” Said Robert Feinstein, Tyson’s New York lawyer: “Attack is a strong word to describe this incident. The case was settled without admission of liability.”
If “attack” is a strong word, what about “act of cannibalism”? From now on, if I see someone on the side of the highway, I’ll just put the foot down on the accelerator because I don’t want to have my leg eaten by some crazy guy.
