Tom Cruise: Iron Man
Damn, I learned today that Tom Cruise is the favorite choice to play Iron Man in a big screen adaptation of the comics.
Rumors have resurfaced that the couch-jumping Scientologist is again mulling a star turn as “Iron Man.” Jon Favreau just signed to develop and direct the flick, to be produced by Marvel Comics’ new movie arm, about a billionaire industrialist who fights crime in a super-powered suit. As we first told you in January 2004, Cruise said he’d be interested if he got a good script. And with Favreau (”Swingers,” “Elf”) now developing one, it looks like that could happen.
Come on! Tom Cruise is way too small to play Iron Man. If you put him in an iron armor, he will be as impressive as a Zippo.
