Tom Cruise: Born on the Third of July

Oliver Stone has told friends that Tom Cruise won the lead role in “Born on the Fourth of July” by telling the acclaimed director he was born on July 3, and that it was good karma for him to get the part.
Stone was struck by the coincidence but later regretted casting Cruise when the movie, despite raves, disappointed at the box office. The Entertainment Weekly Web site also reports Stone was disappointed that Cruise didn’t talk about his birthday while he was promoting the picture, apparently fearful it would lead reporters to his awkward real last name - Mapother.
The shy little actor has turned into a fearless little man. Now he makes up stories about having babies to promote his career, without fearing that everyone will discover the truth: Suri is the creation of a sick mind. Just like Xenu. But I won’t be harsh with him today because it’s his birthday. Happy birthday, Mapother!
