Insulting Fergie is Blasphemy
Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas thinks an awful lot of her own singing voice, ranking her talent right up there with Messiah. MSNBC reports:
[Fergie] says that anyone who insults her voice insults God. “I may not have the type of voice you like, but I can sing,” the white hip-hopper told Vibe. “You can’t take that away from me, ‘cause singing is a gift from God, and when people say I can’t sing, it’s kind of like insulting God.”
Right, right. Insulting God. Not you. And I supposed when people call you “ugly” or “meth-mouthed” or “disgusting bi-gendered buttaface” that’s a slap to the Most Holy, too. And all this time I thought I had to spit on the Bible or burn a couple of crosses to really affront the Lord, and it turns out all I had to do was make fun of Fergie’s singing voice. This is gonna really free up my afternoons.

When I first read the headline, “Insulting Fergie is Blasphemy” I thought if I wrote it, it should say, “Liking Fergie is Blasphemy.” After reading your well thought out caption… I’m right!

I don’t want to fight with anyone, but I want to voice my thoughts like everyone else……
Even if I don’t agree with what you say, I respect that you say it….
Speaking as a Christian, she is right…… God doesn’t like when we treat other people like that. And to insult another person is insulting one of God’s creations…..therefore it is essentially insulting God. Speaking as a Fergie fan, what has she done to deserve to be insulted?
You can’t just say because of “Fergalicious” and “London Bridge” that she is some slutty…..whatever you call her.
Fact is, she has so many more songs that have REAL meanings……she is doing charity work…..she is even a role model for some….
Glamorous- good message….
Pedestal- good message….
Finally- good message….
Loosing My Ground- GREAT message….
etc., I mean this is a person that has been through SO much…. she has talked about it in various magazines, interviews, TV……..but people ALWAYS use it against her. It’s funny that in real life, she is a sweet, SELFLESS female. She puts on a hard front on stage but when the curtain closes, shes just another girl…….she said that herself……
