Jessica Simpson Sucks Bigtime
Pop singer Jessica Simpson has withdrawn from the Kennedy Center Honors program filmed earlier this month because her version of Dolly Parton’s “9-to-5″ was too crappy to be televised. People magazine reports:
Simpson botched the lyrics when she originally performed the song live, then recorded it again for the broadcast show. However, ultimately Simpson’s spokesperson, Cindi Berger, told the Associated Press after Simpson had viewed the tape, “She really wasn’t happy with her performance, and she did want it to be perfect for Dolly, who she idolizes.”
Listen — do you hear that sound? That’s the sound of Jessica’s Simpson’s career going straight down the crapper. And that rustling noise is the sound of Jess digging elbow-deep into a Ruffles bag and stuffing in fistfuls of potato chips while watching Vanessa Minillo on MTV and using her new CD “A Public Affair” as a coaster for her chocolate milkshake.
