There have been dozens of conflicting reports about Anna Nicole Smith’s untimely death last Thursday. Consequently, it seems that though acquired from credible sources, I may have inadvertently given you erroneous information. I may have also given you genital warts and the clap, but we’re not here to talk about that. We’re here to dispel the TOP TEN RUMORS ABOUT ANNA NICOLE’S DEATH.

10. Anna Nicole underwent surgery before she died. That rumor is TRUE. TMZ reports that Anna Nicole had recent breast surgery to repair one of her implants.

9. An infection from the surgery killed Anna Nicole. UNKNOWN. Seizures, heart attacks and high fevers are all symptoms of post-surgical infection, and Anna Nicole was reported to have had “flu-like symptoms” in the days before she died.

8. The pain medications found in her room were all in Howard K. Stern’s name. FALSE. MSNBC reports that Anna been prescribed over 10 different types of pain medication and that “all the prescription pills in her room were in her name, not [Howard's].”

7. Anna Nicole was drunk when she died. Also FALSE. The medical examiner who conducted the autopsy says he saw no signs that Anna was drinking the day of her death, even though she was spotted in a bar earlier that day. He was quoted in The Miami Herald as having said, ”There was no scent of alcohol in her stomach lining, no residue, nothing.”

6. Anna Nicole OD’d and that’s what killed her. UNKNOWN. No pills were found in her stomach, but that doesn’t necessarily rule out the possibility they were already in her blood stream.

5. Larry Birkhead is the father. UNKNOWN. Court-ordered DNA testing that was supposed to happen next week was put on hold, and Anna Nicole’s body cannot be buried or cremated until the courts decide whether or not her corpse will be swabbed for samples.

4. Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband, Prince Frederick von Anhaltis, the father of Dannielynn. UNKNOWN, but highly unlikely. Apparently this guy is a huge liar and not really even a prince.

3. The dead billionaire J. Howard Marshall is the father. UNKNOWN. Anna Nicole’s half-sister told the New York Daily News that Anna Nicole froze the sperm of her 90-year-old husband before he died and used it to become pregnant as a “trump card” in winning the ongoing legal battle for his estate.

2. Anna Nicole tried to drown herself several weeks before she died. TRUE. CNN confirmed that Anna Nicole tried to commit suicide by drowning herself in her pool shortly after the death of her son. Stern found her facedown in the water and called for her bodyguard who administered CPR and resuscitated her.

1. Anna Nicole has an evil twin sister who is possessed by devil and a pawn of Stefano DiMera’s, but she has amnesia so she doesn’t remember what happened before the coma and she is the true mother of Dannielynn. UNKNOWN. At this point, it’s entirely plausible.
