Jared Leto Even Bigger Douche than Previously Reported

jared_leto1.jpg

Those injuries Jared Leto sustained at his concert last week had less to do with “an enthusiastic crowd surge” and more to do with “an embarrassing stage-diving attempt gone shamefully wrong.” Page Six reports:

Reports of the actor/rocker’s broken nose and injured foot emerged yesterday, but our sources said it was a stage leap – not a mad rush of fans – that caused his bruises. “He flung himself directly off the stage into the crowd,” said our spy, “and nobody in the crowd caught him…. Jared landed really hard on the ground, and people were accidentally stepping on him.”

A rep for Leto insisted, “Jared did not jump onto the crowd. He went into the audience while singing ‘The Kill.’ His injuries were a result of the crowd rushing towards him in their excitement to be close to him.”

That is possibly one of the most outstanding things I’ve ever heard. Plus, his rep’s response is hysterical. “Excitement to be close to him?” Stomping my foot into the back of his neck while he’s sprawled out on the ground is about as close as I’d ever want to be to Jared Leto. Apparently, his “fans” concur. It’s always nice when an egotistical douchebag celebrity gets a little comeuppance, but faceplanting off a stage is more than I could have ever hoped for. I think my fasting and prayers have finally payed off. Next, I’m going to ask God to set Paris Hilton on fire. And maybe for a pony and a jet pack while I’m still feeling lucky.

HA! That’s like that scene from School of Rock where Jack Black stage dives and no one catches him. Ah, the douchbaggery continues…

i don’t even really know who he is, but i would have paid to see that! that’s hysterical!
that happened in another movie, also, but i can’t remember which one…

abby, don’t think small! ask for a unicorn and a leprechan– it IS almost st. paddy’s day!

I know! You couldn’t script it any better than that. It’s especially awesome because he takes himself so fucking seriously.

  4. I told you what happened. A raccoon rushed me, I punched it in the face and I broke it’s nose. Get it right people!

  5. If I would have been there, not only would I have been laughing at him, but I would have been jumping on him like a trampoline until he had heart failure…………

    I know, I’m mean………….

I’m sorry, but I think his reps are correct. He does run into the crowd during “The Kill” and if you’ve seen what happens when he does that, you would understand how it would quite easy for him to be hurt. He has only one man running in front of him, which is highly ineffective. He gets mobbed by the crowd and people are grabbing him in every way possible. He gets a bit bruised up and shaken around because of the mass of people. I can definitely see how he would get a broken nose and other injuries. Anyone could accidentally elbow him in the face or anything else. It is a bit stupid of him to do this since he gets hurt so often, but he is so dedicated to his fans that he wants to give them a good show. He is an amazing actor and an equally amazing musician who is dedicated to his separate careers. Yes, he is a bit egotistical and that does add to the craziness of 30STM concerts, but if you had that much power of an audience, wouldn’t you use it? I know that people like different things and dislike people for their own reasons, but I was just wondering why you hate Jared Leto so much?

Bionic Bunny, doesn’t that happen to Jon Favreau’s character in “PCU”?

I don’t care for the guy, but I’m sure that people who paid to see him actually like him, so I don’t think they would move if he stagedived. It makes for a funny mental image, but it sounds like wishful thinking to me.

hello I’m a mother and I see the greatness in this guy. y’all are stupid. jared rocks! I’d kill those people who stepped on him. How dare they.

your name is ashlie? what a surprise?! “power of an audience” – uh, dictators have that too

and, j, you’re a mother? so i give two flying f*cks about your opinion on this narcissistic moron?

i suppose the rest of us should hold off on having an opinion until we procreate.

  11. Ashlie

What are you insinuating by saying that my name is a “surprise?” Is there something about my name that just shouts Jared Leto fan somehow? Your comments make very little sense in the way that you are attempting to mean them.

When I was typing I messed up and meant to say “be quite easy” and “power over an audience.”

There is a HUGE difference between a musician and a dictator. 30STM makes music because that is what they love to do and they want to share theirs passions with their fans. They are not attempting to control anyone or take over the country as a dictator would. Your comment is quite random and unnecessary.

I agree that the way J put her opinion forth was a stupid way, and that the fact that she is a mother has nothing to do with the subject. But you are being a bit critical of other people’s opinions simply because you think they are wrong. I have admitted that I understand people have different opinions, and they are entitled to those. I am not trying to say that anyone here has an opinion that is unwarranted. I simply don’t understand why people feel the need to be so aggressively harsh. But you have given no reason for your opinions and have only criticized others for theirs, which seems hypocritical because you obviously want to give your own opinion, no matter how juvenile you choose to communicate it.

Who ever wrote this column has obviously never been to a heavy rock/metal show. He obviously knows nothing about a good rock concert either. I want to see the damn lead singer jump into the crowd like a jerk off. While I don’t like ego driven lead singers, JL definitely has the musical chops and tenacity to have an inflated head. The fact that he writes and drives all the music and the fact that its actually good music says something. To put in that much work, time, and effort into a piece of music should entitle him to some to gloat. If you don’t like it and want a quicker payoff for your 10 second attention capacity, go listen to Kanye West or Justin timberlake.

you can hardly blame people for wanting to be near to jared leto can you?!?!?!!? okay maybe as a person hes a bit egotistical or w/e but hes damn hot!!

I’d say that the only thing that this article proves is that The Author is insecure and egoistic himself. Or maybe hurt or resentful. Who knows.. Anyway, people who judge Jared Leto based on sh*t like this, are either not yet grown up or just plain stupid.

I just hate articles like this, who make me feel bad, because of the frank narrowmindness of the writer. If you don’t like the guy, just forget him and focus on things you like, why the hell pollute world.

  16. ...

His rep is right. He walked into the crowd, and obviously anyone who was there likes him and would want to be close to him. By the way… Jared Leto rocks ;)

how is he a douche if he didnt get caught by a crowd?!?! how about ppl stop butting into his personal life and enjoy the work he has done? most reps are douches to the tabloids but that dosent mean jared is. jared rocks and ppl shouldnt care about what he did last week they should care about his talents
