Salma Hayek is Pregnant
Actress Salma Hayek has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child. Salma’s publicist gave the following statement to the New York Daily News:
“Businessman, Francois-Henri Pinault, and his fiancee, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child.”
Thank God, because I was afraid Salma was just getting fat. I didn’t want it to be true. I hoped against hope that maybe she had eaten four pounds of rock salt the night before these pictures were taken, or at least had been repeatedly stung by a swarm of angry bees after having an allergic reaction to shellfish, but I had already mentally prepared myself for the worst.
P.S. A little aside: Salma Hayek’s fiance is the CEO of a company that owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent and the music-and-book chain FNAC. Big bucks, folks. Not too shabby for a soap star from Mexico! Viva el sueño!
