Why is Avril more of a “douche” than anyone else in this crazy-ass entertainment business? Like so many before her, she is a mediocre talent who had a big hit. Whooopee. She’s all “attitude,” blonde hair and make up, and nothing else. She’s made a career out of being Barbie’s alter ego, who happens to sing … badly. She’s a made-up star, like the Monkees or the Partidge Family. They’re ALL total whores for record sales. That is, if Avril’s “handlers” thought it would sell more records for her to be flashing her skinny ass and peach for the whole world to see at some beach in Malibu, she’d be right alongside Britney doing that, too. However, Avril’s handlers figured out that all she has to do is show up at a few industry events, pout and look dissatisfied with life, flip the bird here and there to show her “punk” credentials, and WHAM-O … the records keep moving off the shelves. The fact that Avril Lavigne is such a success has far less to do with Avril Lavigne than it does the unfathomable stupidity and disposable income of the “pop” music consumers that never stop buying her crap.
