Rapper Busta Rhymes was arrested yesterday and charged with a DUI in New York. TMZ reports:

Busta Rhymes was arrested on a drunk driving charge early this morning in New York, after cops stopped him for driving an SUV with “excessively tinted windows.”According to the NYPD, the rapper, driving a 2006 GMC Yukon Denali, was pulled over on the far West side of Midtown Manhattan at 12:48 AM, because the car’s windows were too dark. When cops encountered Rhymes, they noticed a “strong odor of alcohol” on his breath and issued a field sobriety test. He was then taken into custody on a charge of driving while impaired and booked at the Midtown North Police Precinct.

Sounds to me like another case of the “black man in a fancy car.” The first thing the cops figure is that the fancy car is stolen, and the black man driving it at very least has a little weed on him or just finished robbing a liquor store while raping a white woman, so it’s pretty much guaranteed arrest gold. They just find the right excuse to pull the guy over — say, “excessively dark windows,” for example — and proceed to violate his fifth amendment rights so they can find some other legitimate reason to arrest him. American justice*, baby! You just can’t beat it.
