They’re real, baby! Nude photos of High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens that have been floating around the internet have been confirmed as authentic. TMZ Reports:
In a statement to TMZ, Hudgens’ rep says, “This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public.” The National Enquirer was the first to report of the photo’s existence, and it has since surfaced on various blogs across the net.
To anyone who knew anything of Vanessa Hudgens’ career, or had any interest in Vanessa Hudgens whatsoever — now would be a good time to bid her adieu. She’s got the Walt Disney “Mark of Death” on her now, and may God hath mercy on her soul. All I can say is, it’s gonna make what Barbara Walters did to Star Jones look like a damn cake walk. Bitch fucked with Disney — what’s in store for her is more along the lines of Jimmy Hoffa, or that guy from Fargo.

Wacko, according to the law, Hudgens is just as ‘grown’ as Wentz is. And despite this one lapse in judgment, she has done nothing to demonstrate that she is somehow tarnished beyond redemption. And it isn’t like certain other starlets who DID “milk the squeaky clean career” ended up all that better. And considering Disney did end up keeping her on, I guess she won’t be rushing to do drugs and straight-to-video movies (which is silly to say is a bad thing, considering her fame comes from a TV movie series that got lucky).
Yeah, she did something pretty damn ridiculous. But that is the luxury of youth. She isn’t the first, and won’t be the last. I just want to know why you aren’t as vocal about the person who released the photo. They violated her trust and embarrassed her to no end. Poor girl. I actually feel for her, even though I’m clinically unresponsive - allergic, even - to all things High School Musical, regardless of their actual quality: I mean, I’m ready to believe that Vanessa here is a skilled singer (and no one can deny that she’s an extremely pretty girl) but I wouldn’t still get caught dead listening to her CD, which I just discovered that existed.
That being said, I think it was really unfortunate for these pictures to be leaked: they were notoriously meant to be for somebody’s eyes only but when you’re famous you get these kinds of risks - if there is something like this lying around, even if it is in the bottom of a stuffed drawer forgotten somewhere on your aunt’s attic, you can be sure that they’ll eventually emerge somewhere, somehow, sometime, especially when you’re at the center of the mega-hype that is HSM. Still, I don’t blame her for doing it: it’s her body and her boyfriend and she’s surely free to do with it whatever she wants, even if it’s not really my scene - honestly, I always thought those girls doing practically the same thing, not by posing semi-nude for pictures in provocative poses per se but for posting them online for everyone to see, especially if they’re underage, pretty riddiculous (not actually skanky; if a woman feels comfortable with her body and wants to show it I’ll be the first to say go ahead and do it, but one thing is freedom and other thing is shallow show-off, which is laughable). However, that was not the case: she’s not a minor (is she? I’m assuming she isn’t, even though she looks young in those) and she didn’t mean for the pictures to go public. Was it naïve to think that those wouldn’t leak? Well duh. We tend to trust people a lot. Was it kind of a childish thing to do in the first place? In my opinion, yes but she’s 19 and very pretty so I guess she pulls it off - not to mention my opinion is worth the vernacular rat’s ass in this subject.
Now the real drama behind this situation is that (I doubt) Disney will ever work with her again (we’re talking about the company that kills people off in Lost over speeding tickets [okay, I know tha most of those cases it was a little worse than mere speeding tickets, but you get my point])- and without that, in a couple of years I don’t see her rising above the cute-starlet-who-actually-did-something-that-had-some-projection-a-few-years-ago condition. I’m no seer, though and my familiarity with her work is close to none, apart from some painful glances at my sister’s HSM DVD. People, especially parents, seem to be concerned however with the effect of the exposure of this particular star’s private conducts over their thirteen-year-old daughters. Will pubescent pre-teen and teen girls think it’s cute to trade nude pictures of themselves with other people? Will they flaunt these over on their MySpace accounts and the such? Well, they actually already do, so I think that’s entirely beyond the point (maybe not; but then again my opinion is just what it is - an opinion - and I fail entirely at understanding the mind of a 13-year old girl, despite having been one myself not that long time ago - the fact that I do not grasp the whole HSM-hysteria concept at all, for one, shows me how flawed I am at some areas of knowledge).
And with this I will stop proscratinating and get back to my assignment.
