Amy Winehouse unleashed her raw talent on the hundreds of fans who assembled for the debut of her British tour yesterday. Wait, did I just say “unleashed her raw talent?” Because I meant “unleashed a bunch of slurs and staggers and the occasional piledrive into a guitar stand.” The Daily Mail reports
The singer stumbled into the venue half an hour late, slurred her words, walked into a guitar stand and dropped her microphone at the opening date of her British tour. She then dedicated a song to her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, drawing more boos and a mass walkout at the NIA in Birmingham.The band had to support Winehouse as she almost collapsed in tears.
Following jeers from the crowd, she ranted: “Let me tell you something. First of all, if you’re booing you’re a mug for buying a ticket. Second, to all those booing, just wait ’til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that.” Dressed in a tight black miniskirt and with her see-through top showing off her bra, Winehouse, 24, changed the words of her songs to refer to Fielder-Civil.
Why would you waste fifty bucks to watch Amy Winehouse “perform?” You could watch a vagrant sing into a empty bottle of gin, then tumble headlong down a concrete landing and tattoo a couple of trash cans for free. Especially if you provide the gin and that initial shove down the stairs. Front row seats, baby, and it doesn’t cost you a dime!

I find her physical apperrance appalling. Also her tact, singing voice, values, addictions, and lack of pride distrub me. But she’s got that missing tooth, so she has that going for her at least.

i don’t get her. aren’t you supposed to have years and years of fame and public adoration before you turn into a self destructive pile of shit? Also, am I the only one who finds her voice ridiculous? If I want to listen to the fucking Shirells or the Ronettes I’ll listen to the Shirells or the Ronnettes. I dont need some pasty british white girl singing black girl group music. Plus she’s ugly.
