PETA has devoted an entire website to bashing the Olsen twins — cleverly deemed “Hairy-Kate” and “Trashley” Trollsen — for wearing fur. And because a whole website wasn’t enough, their “Trollsen” MySpace begins

PETA’s other ideas included writing rhyming insults on Mary-Kate’s locker and tripping Ashley in the cafeteria after study hall. But Plan B was still pretty good, too!

Since when does becoming a TYRANT make you good people? I am all for treating animals well, but come on! There are people dying is Darfur, but you would rather throw paint on someone wearing a bunny rabbit??? All that money donated to them could be used to save our EARTH, our starving CHILDREN, etc etc! UPDATE: PETA Killed Over 97 Percent of the Animals in their Care in 2006
2,981. That’s how many dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and other “companion animals” died needlessly at the hands of PETA employees in 2006. According to the group’s own records, PETA employees killed more than 97 percent of the flesh-and-blood creatures in their care that year.
Compare that with the Norfolk (where PETA is based) Society for the Protection of Animals, which euthanized only 38 of the 1404 animals placed in their care that year. Even the Norfolk city pound managed to release or adopt out more than half the number of animals it euthanized.
While PETA collects millions in donations by pretending to advocate for the welfare of animals, the group has killed 17,400 pets since 1998. Some animals are killed in PETA headquarters and stored in a giant walk-in freezer.
Others are killed in roving death vans and tossed into dumpsters. In fact, less than three percent of the animals handed over to People for the “Ethical” Treatment of Animals actually survive.

If you feel so strongly about this issue…wearing fur…. and you want people to feel as strongly about it as you do then how are you about to stoop to childish levels to get your point across. What a tasteless, tactless, and classless organization. We all want people to be kinder to animals. You have to be pretty immature to put something like that up. You all nothing but a bunch of terrorists. This is America! Everyone has the right to believe in what they want to believe. I bet you if you put these PETA people out in the middle of nowhere and let them starve, I bet eating an animal to stay alive won’t sound too bad. Or using their fur to stay warm instead of going into hypothermia, wouldn’t be soooo bad! I myself am a hunter, and I eat everything that I shoot. It’s natural. This is what is supposed to happen. God himself said so. If you don’t believe me, look it up Acts 10:9-16!!! This is what I eat throughout the year. If you were in need of food or if you needed something to keep you warm, I am sure there isn’t much you wouldn’t do. I like the idea of auctioning off furs for children in need. There are much more things in this world to be worried about! Perhaps, PETA, you should grow up and learn some manners. Don’t use scare tactics and don’t MAKE people believe in your beliefs, again, we are in AMERICA and will all have different opinions. If you want dictatorship, perhaps you can join the Iraqi’s…..that way all the terrorists can stay in one area!

I think PETA is a disgusting organization. You try and use scare tactic to turn people on to your side. I think you are disgraceful. And from recent articles I have read about the organization, you treat animals pretty disgusting. You should really practice what you preach. Seriously, most people I talk to have nothing but bad things to say. I’m all for animals, I love them and have a lot of different kind in my house, I take great care of them and they are well loved, but you are nothing but extremists. You are pushing the envelop too far and your getting the opposite effect of what you are actually trying to gain. I look forward to the day that your organization crumbles to the ground.

PETA IS NOT ONE PERSON IT IS AN ORGANIZATION WITH MILLIONS OF MEMBERS WHO LIVE FREE LIVES AND DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO. PETA DOESN’T SCREEN IT’S MEMBERS AND ASK THEM IF THEY REPRESENT THE MEAT INDUSTRY OR FACTORY FARMING DO THEY.

2nd how much worse are you than peta if your saying that your gonna kill them if they throw paint on your fur coat
3rd its completely up to you if you want to wear fur or leather or snake or anything else that was a living being then you have every right too…I just hope that every time you wear that garment you remember all of the animals that were tortured, sentanced to a slow and painful torture death…not being able to defend themselves …
4th I’m sorry if I don’t think that its right to kill helpless innocent animals for clothes when there are so many better more efficent ways to make clothes…just thinking about all of the innocent baby minks, rabbits, racoons and every other animal that is brutually tortured, and then slaughtered just so you can “look good” makes me want to vomit…
5th I do not agree with many of peta’s tactis…
6th when peta does throw paint on people who are wearing fur, they are not doing it to “recruit” “members” to join them, they are simply trying to prove a point that wearing a dead animal’s carcass is hideous…I completely disagree with using those tactics as I have said before…it is really immature and stupid…but I do understand where they are coming from.
7th I have been a vegetarian for 6 years going on 7. I am not doing it for my health. I am not one of those people that thinks it is better for you not too eat meat. I just completely disagree how the animals are slaughtered…I am not going to post any graphic descriptions but I can almost guarantee that over half of you have never seen the video of how the poor cows, chickens, lambs, pigs, sheep, and baby cows are treated before they die…

Hey Ashley, read the bible(Acts 10:9-16)….God tells you that you should. He put these animals on this earth so that people would be able to sustain themselves. If you kill an animal to eat, your disgracing the animal by not doing anything with the carcass. So, what are you going to do, be wasteful and leave the carcass. Why not use it be warm. NOT as a fashion statement as some people do in the industry (their choice by the way), but to keep warm. These poor defenseless creatures kill other animals as well. They tear apart farm land (that does provide you with your vegetarian lifestyle) and causes the farmer to lose millions of dollars in damage each year. I’m not even going to go onto the thousands of deer that get hit each year by vehicles!!! I suppose that’s a humane way to treat a deer right? It’s a choice….nobody is going to sway anybody into believing what they believe. Be happy with the choice you’ve made, and I will certainly be happy with mine.

PETA antics should not be to attempt to scare people or to attack people but to educate. Instead of bashing people teach them what you believe and accept those who do not wish to be like you. WHat your organization does only lets people focus on the negative noone is paying attention to your issues just the way you express your views. PETA needs a complete image overhal maybe then you will get the results you want. Until then I’m going to order a nice large meatlovers. mmmm!!! ok, i was referred to this site by the adrianne curry myspace.com blog, but my reaction to this page is my own and noone else’s.
first off, i eat meat. i love meat. i luuuuuuuvvvvvvv meat. i have friends who are vegans or vegetarians, and i respect their lifestyle choices as they do mine. i won’t live for them and they won’t for me, and it’s insane to dictate how someone lives and conducts themselves.
that being said, i find this web page disturbing and disgusting. if the olsens want to wear leather and fur, then fine. if the members of peta don’t wear leather and fur, then fine. but to harrass and ridicule someone for making their own decisions when they contradict yours is pathetic and low. these girls get enough guff for being young and independently wealthy (they earned it themselves and their parents were wise with investments as oppossed to inheriting it) and pretty and skinny and famous… this is out of line. and it should be taken down immediately.
just based on this peta-sanctioned website, i would never support that organization. and to be honest, after seeing this my peta-membered friends aren’t feeling comfortable with y’all either.
someone needs to grow up. and it isn’t the olsens or adrianne.

After reading some of the comments, a few things things seem to be repeated a lot and I would like to correct them.
This ‘Trollsen’ thing isn’t PETA – it is PETA2, which isn’t for adults – it’s for kids. That’s why it seems childish.
PETA does not throw paint on people. It was crazy extremists that did that.
The information ‘PETA killed 97% of its animals’ is false, and was published by a group known as peta kills animals to try and stop the good work that PETA is doing. It was set up by angry slaughterhouse workers, fur farmers and other people working in animal abusing industries.
PETA also takes action in a mature manner – as I said, this is PETA2.
Finally, PETA is doing this to help animals. Eating meat, wearing animals is wrong, and the ways fur, leather and meat are obtained are sick and disturbing. Being vegetarian and boycotting fur and leather are also extremely enviromentally friendly.
