Britney Spears’ 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears announced yesterday that she’s pregnant. Suck on that, all you who said she’d always live in her sister’s shadow! According to People
Spears and her mother confirmed the pregnancy, saying she was 12 weeks along and the father is Jamie Lynn’s longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Aldridge’s mother confirmed it to TMZ. “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” Jamie Lynn told OK!. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.”
Mother Lynne Spears had this to say:
“I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious… She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”
Jamie Lynn is the star of “Zoey 101,” one of Nickelodeon’s highest-rated shows. The studio execs issued the following statement:
“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

Boy, the trailer park apple doesn’t fall far from the proverbial white trash tree, does it? Now we just wait for her to shave herself bald, put on about fifty pounds and flap her beaver all around town in clothing two sizes too small. If it weren’t blasphemous and an insult to Baby Jesus, I’d say this was almost some kind of Christmas miracle. But it doesn’t exactly take the hand of the Lord to keep some teenage jerk off from pulling out in time or putting on a rubber. If it doesn’t have to do with smoting or a forty year constitutional in the desert, the hand of the Lord is usually noticeably absent ’round these parts. Unless you’ve got money on the Cubs or live in the panhandle of Florida, of course. Then the Lord’s hand has suckerpunched you in the kidneys more times than you can count.

And I thought Britney had a year! Britney shaves her head, falls down drunk, runs over people in her car and loses custody of both of her kids but little sister Jamie Lynn trumps her at the last minute by being an unwed mother at age 16 yrs. Wow, what a family!

Credit where credit is due (and in this case there is not much) Britney at least waited until she was married and in her twenties before she started having children. And I thought Jamie Lynn was suppose to be the ’sensible’ one. As she intends on keeping the child, I certainly hope she is a better mother than her older sister.

At 16 in most states you can consent to sex but at 15 you can’t consent so it is illegal to sleep with a 15 year old or any younger. Thats why the 17 year old got in trouble. I mean yes in today’s society color does have a part in punishment and all that. But it is also illegal to sleep with them if they can’t by law consent to sex and anything 15 and under is illegal!

You know this beats all….People have too much to say when it comes to this Teenager. Oh,My God!, she pregnant….First off, she is a teen model/actrress who has LOTS OF MONEY! How come the news media makes a big tthing when teenagers around the world are having children of their own. This is stupid but typical of gossip columns to people that have nothing better to discuss about. Teenage pragnancy is nothing we are NOT familiar about. It a shame that we as a society feel that we need to place our two cents into this matter..! Grow up people there are BIGGER issues that one “Celeberty Teenager” who has the resources to better he lifestyle without being hooked up with some loser. I am not in any way condoning teenagers to have sex, what I am saying is that Media goers are have a field day with this story because of who she is… Blaming her for not being responsible and accusing her to e role-model for kids….the role-models should be parents. Television is NOT a babysitter! I feel that Nickolodeon should NOT fire Jamie, but keep her on the show. Jamies pregnancy should be written into the show to better educate young adults about “THE REALISM ” about life instead of the bullshit telelvision broadcasts such as My sweet 16.
