But let me say that I’ve lived in Oklahoma, Texas, and now I’m in Atlanta and I don’t understand why it gets so ugly when there’s a sterotype. Unfortunetly, there are areas in this country that are still extremely racist and I walked into one of their bars in Indiana and almost got my ass kicked for making them all look like asses, but they’re just ignorant. The little girls are just playing dress up. I did it when I was that age. This is what Ms. Knowles is trying to capture — the fun and essence of that time. It is actually a very important event in a young girls life - dressing up is so fun and makes an impact on your personality.
