Hayden Panettiere’s Shitty Music Video

It’s hard to remember a time when I felt as much rage as I did after watching the video for Hayden Panettiere’s new music video. That time I broke my pinky toe in the shower? The “Old Gringo incident” at the company picnic? My wedding night? Not even close. “Wake Up Call” is an interminable three and a half minutes of Blue Steel and Le Tigre set to a bastard version of Paris Hilton’s “The Stars Are Blind.” Don’t worry — the eye twitch probably won’t set in until the 1:15 mark. If you can even make it that far, that is. I find that Old Gringo and burning your forearms with cigarettes really helps.

    Well, the song is kinda shit, and the video is worse, but she’s a better singer than Parasite, Lohan, etc… though that isn’t saying much.

    What’s up with the affected b-girl accent? She sounds like Fergie mixed with Christina Aguiler circa “Dirrrty” and Justin Timberlake. The rap bridge with her boxing pantomime is funny. I felt embarrassed for her. If I were her, I would stay home and have sex with my old ass boyfriend all day.

    oh dear. worst thing since scarlett johannson’s music career. that was just embarrassing. I liked her as an actress but the respect value just dropped into negative. why does everyone think they can sing these days? it would also be nice if a real instrument came within 10 thousand kilometres of that song.
