Beyonce Whitens Up

People are all up in arms because apparently L’Oreal photoshopped Beyonce to appear whiter in their commercials featuring Feria hair color. In the ads she sports strawberry blonde hair and her skin looks decidedly lighter, making the singer a ‘weird, nearly white version of herself’, New York Times fumes. L’Oreal denies that they altered her skin tone.
We highly value our relationship with Ms. Knowles,” they said in a statement.
“It is categorically untrue that L’Oréal Paris altered Ms. Knowles’ features or skin tone in the campaign for Feria hair color.
So what’s the big freaking deal? Last time I looked, Beyonce’s the one who dyes her hair blonde or some other unnatural color. When’s the last time you saw her with “black” hair–oh let me guess, her hair naturally un-fros itself? Take your issue up with Beyonce and leave whitey out of it.

Beyonce probably told them to do it, I have always felt that she wants to be white, she is as fake as they come.

Ummm Beyonce isn’t fake. If she wanted to be white she would have lightened her skin a long time ago, not when she is just doing some ad and is already known and famous for being black, beautiful and bootylicious. Is Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Pam Anderson or anyone in Hollywood naturally blonde. Everyone changes their hair color especially when they get famous. It’s just a hair color and i don’t think they altered her skin because Beyonce is actually pretty light when she isn’t wearing any bronzing makeup or not sporting a tan. It could also be the fact that in that picture she is in a studio where they have different lighting than all her red carpet pictures. Does anyone look the same in their pictures especially when there is different lighting, like a picture in the morning, afternoon and at night. They’re all going to come out different. Have you seen Beyonce’s mother, she is pretty light so I think it’s safe to say it wasn’t altered. Plus they’ve been using Beyonce in their ads for so long, why would they want to make her lighter now in the year 2008 when she is already famous and known as an African American star?? Give me a break.
