I don’t think you guys need to worry that the site will ever become very political. I mean, unless more photos start popping up of politicians in bathing suits, in which case we better start praying that they’re ALL Photoshopped, because I’d rather gouge out my eyes with a melon baller than see those asses in Speedos. Otherwise, the focus will remain steadfastly on peddling flesh and talking smack about who’s screwing whom, and who’s acting drunk and stupid, because these are the issues that really matter.

Jo, Palin’s husband was a registered AIP member from 1995 to 2002. She is said to have attended their 1994 convention, which is also when she supposedly registered with them. Whether she did attend the ’94 convention is in some dispute, but she is on record as having attended their 2000 convention, and addressing both the 2006 and 2008 conventions. AIP Vice Chairman Dexter Clark said at the 2007 North American Secessionist Convention (on film) that Palin was an “AIP member before she got the job as a mayor of a small town — that was a nonpartisan job. But you get along to go along. She eventually joined the Republican Party, where she had all kinds of problems with their ethics, and well, I won’t go into that.”

It’s interesting to me that it took nearly a full year and a run for the Republican Vice Presidency before anyone in her camp could be bothered to demand a retraction of claims of her secessionist history.

In any case though, Photoshop is still funny. Check out the goofy look on her face!
