It's what actually makes him entertaining. But Takei is no wallflower when it comes to self-importance either. It doesn't take Freud to recognize professional jealousy. And Shatner is right in saying it is sad that Takei bothers to continually bring up his ill-feelings toward Shatner. I mean, after all, I don't know of anyone who watches Star Trek to see how Sulu is going to handle some obstacle. In the movies, the stories gave Sulu his own ship, his own story-lines. They were horribly boring. Takei, while being a good actor, does not carry the charisma of Shatner - which, again, is the core to Shatner's success. And rightly so.
