Halle Berry was photographed in Vancouver on Sunday with a hairdo that finally answers the age-old question, “What would you get if you crossed Rick James with Justin Guarini and then put tits on it?” I don’t like to point fingers, but I’m pretty sure this is all Canada’s fault. Just like Alanis Morrisette and free health care.

Our “free” heathcare ain’t so free. We pay about 60% of our incomes for it. I would blame us for Celine Dion though. Sorry about that one!

Women of color and other women with Afro hair textures put alot of time into straightening, perming, and bleaching their hair to fit into popular culture. Its sad that a woman of color has to have a “legit” reason to wear her hair this way, other than being born this way. You’d be surprised to know that even when you see women of color with long wavy ringlets, “that’s” not even the final texture, a large percentage of us have Afros —but waves, ringlets, and of course straight hair is the status quo, so we rarely step out with our hair in the Afro style because people think its a style for the seventies and not simply a natural hair texture. I wear my hair all ways but as an actress, I am usually primped with curls or flat irons. It takes alot to keep your hair straight or wavy all the time and she looks beautiful either way! Go Halle its great to see you with an Afro!
