Let’s take a trip down memory lane. I’m talking about the Michael with the penchant for little boys, toys, and Jesus juice. all of a sudden freaking Michael Jackson is this great human being? up there with mother teresa and the dali lama? wtf?? people obsess over music, pop culture and musicians way too much. yes, he made good pop music and revolutionized music videos and all of that, but this was not a saintly person who did much for the world as a whole. this was a deeply flawed, fucked up individual who was so uncomfortable in his own skin being black, that he pretty much had a face transplant to look like a white lady.
i can’t remember the last time anyone who died for a real reason and had a real important impact on the world was this revered in death. enough already.

The only thing Michael Jackson will be remembered for in the end, decades from now is that he was probably the most bizarre and fucked up person the world has ever known. Other then the Jackson 5 stuff that no one under 30 even remembers, he’s known for 4 CD’s with maybe 4 or 5 songs that truly stand out. That’s it. No more. Best performer ever? hardly. I’m sure the ghost of Mozart, Louis Armstrong, Elvis or Frank Sinatra would have something to say about that.
He’ll be remembered as a freak who tried to be white, had white children, touched children sexually and himself on stage while using up every single dollar he could get his dirty hands into to stay out of jail. Cut his own nose off, slept with a chimpanzee and countless other insane shit that you just can’t make up. At his funeral a few people looked to the sky and said “I miss you Michael”, but it was the wrong direction they were looking at. They should have been looking down at the ground. If some of you are wondering whether or not he’s black or white, wonder no more. He is neither. He’s red with horns and a pitchfork.

jon as much as i agree with you about how fucked up he was, most modern pop musicians are pretty much Michael Jackson revisited. Justin timberlake and all those boy band type people are almost carbon copies of the way he danced and sang. Michael jackson should also get credit for changing the way people do and think about music videos. nobody should deny his impact on pop music, but thats just it–pop music. he didn’t do anything so spectacular and important in the world besides that.
i also wouldn’t even call him a great role model for the african america community at all. he clearly hated being black, hated his nose, his dark skin his african american hair everything. he even went so far as to have 3 white test tube babies, so as for all these prominent members of the african american community praising him, they need to think again because he was terrible for the black community. he made it seem like it was a shame to be black and to have black features. a fucked up individual indeed

No, he hated being black, died his skin with numerous procedures and didn’t have a perm. He was as bald as Patrick Stewart. He’s worn wigs for 20 years and his autopsy has confirmed as much. He even has a permanent burn where his real hair caught fire during that Pepsi Ad where hair had never grown since. Those “regular people” who change their body parts and facial features are as crazy as he was.
Hey Spatz, consider the quality of pop music “musicians” today when most of them can’t perform live without lipsync, or even on pre-recorded songs without computer controlled pitch control. The only reason they still emulate Michael Jackson is because they literally have no idea what else to do because they all lack any kind of extraordinary talent. It’s not that he was so great, it’s that they are so awful.
I’ll give him points for dancing. I think he was probably the best dancer the world has ever seen. Even topping Fred Astaire and Gene Kelley, but as far as music goes, he was good, but not great. It’s good he gave so much money away to charity in the 80’s, but stopped many years ago when he fell past the brink into total insanity and went into unimaginable debt. For the moment I believe Bill Gates is at the top of the charity donor list, having given away more money then Michael Jackson has even made over his lifetime.
Either way, like I said, it won’t matter because in the end he’ll be known for his insane behavior instead.
BTW, where was the nation of islam during his funeral? ohhh denied, Christian service only. I bet they loved that.

he didn’t have vitiligo, if he had vitiligo he would have had it from early on. plus vitiligo doesn’t cause your nose to fall off, and is generally characterized by splotches of discolored skin. the man was black until he decided to change his skin and you can’t blame any disease besides a mental one for that.
all in all, i am not a rabid MJ fan but i also don’t hate him and think he’s going to hell, so i can see things objectively. i DO appreciate and respect his contributions to music and pop culture, and still think he was a very talented person. does that mean we have to forget the weird stuff that he did and venerate him like he was a saint? his inappropriate relations with young boys (feeding them jesus juice? come on) his erratic behavior with his children, all of these things are not things to be forgotten. i really don’t think he was some spectacular human being, sorry.
as for his charitable contributions, maybe he did in the 80s when it was cool and en vogue. when people stopped being interested in him he stopped donating. good for him that he donated money to charity 30 years ago, but any star of his wealth should be doing that, and most of them do, mostly because they get a nice huge tax payoff.

Hey, Spatz, you don’t get Vitiligo early on–my Mother did not get Vitiligo until she was in her 60’s–it’s an immunological disorder, and it can appear at any time, not just in the early years. My Mother is Caucasian, but I suppose she contracted this disease intentionally so that she could be WhitER. On this occasion I want to pay my highest respect to the parents of Britney Spears, who recognized the problems of her adult daughter and did all what was necessary to help her ! What a great decision !

A doctor , who supports something like that , should be pulled on responsibility – but in addition, he has my understanding , because MJ asked for it , paid for it and got it ! If the one will not do it , just the other one will do it . Poorer , enrich MJ !
In addition, fact is , that Michael Jackson, with all Brilliance , with all his wealth was not more than a human being . A human beeing , that was very shy, who surely has had mistakes but although a human beeing , who loved and was loved.
Who could have made that better clearly than his daughter Paris, who mourns the loved father and cries – not because of the pop star !
Completely insignificant is the question whether he is the biological father of the children or not.

I finally want to say that his music accompanied me my lifetime , he was part of my life and although I was never a fanatic fan (I never saw him live on stage ) , I nevertheless pay him the highest respect as a singer , dancer , performer and father !!!
