Once, when we were watching Emma Roberts in “Hotel for Dogs” with some of my little cousins, my uncle leaned over and whispered, ” You know what the best thing about sixteen-year old girls is? Get ‘em in the shower, wet their hair back, and they look just like ten-year old boys.” I’ve never felt right about looking at pictures of her ever since. Or being left alone with my uncle, for that matter.
