Paris Hilton “Can’t Stand Black Guys”

It’s a well-known fact that Paris Hilton is a racist — remember this little video where she drops the N-word a bunch of times — and now a new book featuring a transcript of an interview she gave when she was 18 depicts her as a full-blown white supremacist. Nine MSN says:
The book’s author Neil Strauss interviewed Paris at a party when she was 18, “during which she takes a hit of E… brags about her boob job at 14 (her mum made her remove them), a possible pose for Playboy, and a would-be conquest that didn’t happen because…”
In Paris’s own words:
HILTON: I went out with that guy last night.
STRAUSS: Which guy?
HILTON (points to an actor in Saving Private Ryan): We were making out, but then we went somewhere where it was bright and I saw that he was black and made an excuse and left. I can’t stand black guys. I would never touch one. It’s gross. (pauses). Does that guy look black to you?
STRAUSS: How black does a guy have to be?
HILTON: One percent is enough for me.

RESULTS: They were trick questions, because all the answers were racist! So if you answered A, B or C for any of the above, you, sir, are a racist. Frankly, you disgust me.

I had to laugh at the “test.” I kept thinking, “Well, which one of these sounds like the least possible racist thing to choose?” I gave up thinking, “All of these suck, “I wouldn’t choose any.” Here’s the thing. We judge people. When we initially interact with someone, our initial interaction with them is based upon our experience. Whether we admit it or not, part of that includes what the eyes see and the ears hear. You form an opinion, in part, based upon a person’s appearance e. This way, you are prepared to interact with someone of a similar appearance in the future. It’s primal. I’m pretty sure the first time ancient man saw a Sabertooth tiger attack another human an eat them he said, “Jesus! (Wait, he wasn’t around yet) Whoa! (Damn, neither was Keanu Reeves)… SHIT! (That’s been around forever) that animal just killed my friend! From now on, I’m going to do whatever I can to steer clear of them!” I’m NOT equating PEOPLE of the opposite race to a Sabertooth tiger! I am saying that SIGHT affects how we perceive the world. When this same man raised his children, he probably told them about the Sabertooth tiger and said, “That’s a dangerous animal; he killed and ate my friend. Avoid them at all cost or it’ll kill you!” The kid probably did their best to stay away from Sabertooth tigers, NOT because he/she saw the cat kill and eat someone, but because their elders told them so. Likewise, when a parent, teacher, mentor, friend, etc. that we put our trust in TELLS us something, we listen and act accordingly. In order to change our view, we must RISK going beyond what we’ve been told and allow ourselves to SEE and different outcome.
Just WTF am I saying? Well, Paris grew up hearing and seeing different forms and severity of racism as did each of us. She may have had personal experience on both sides. Her experience is as unique as yours and mine. I put forth this question; do you think it is right for me to pass judgment on YOUR perception of the world based upon MY experiences? Same goes for PH. If she in fact said these things at that time, it’s because that’s what her experience proved. Perhaps her OPINIONS and PERCEPTION of the world and its people have CHANGED in the decade that followed. It’d hate to think that we would get to a certain age and stop evolving from that point onward!

A PS note. I think it’d begreat for her to pay for her own implants now! She could also be groundbreaking and say, “Hey, I got these, I’m going to be shooting aother porn video. This time it will be done by ______ (insert multibillion dollar porn company). I enjoy my life as a socialite and business woman. I’m also thrilled knowing both men and women enjoy watching me have sex.” That would kick ass and I think many would appreciate her honestly saying, “I’m doing this to feed my ego and I don’t have a problem with it!”
