Chevrons are EVERYWHERE lately, from clothing to home decor to nail polish, so it’s time we addressed the chevron trend and how to work it into your spring wardrobe. From the Gospel of Abby, chapter 3, verses 7-15:
DO: Pair monochrome chevrons with a pop of color and bold accessories.
DON’T: Pair multi-colored chevrons with any other patterns. Multi-colored chevrons don’t need the extra competition. Keep the rest of your outfit simple.
DON’T: Wear chevrons across your midsection if you’re thick-waisted. It widens your waist.
DO: Stick to chevron patterns on top and solid colors on bottom to minimize your hips or thighs.
DO: Belt a chevron top or dress to accentuate your waist and to create the illusion of an hourglass figure.
DON’T: Go for school bus yellow and a solid black chevron, or you’ll look like Charlie Brown.
