Model Miranda Kerr wore the Bianca dress from Peter Pilotto’s Spring 2013 collection to the Pre-Oscar party in L.A. last night, and any other time I would have taken one look at this dress and deemed her a fashion fail without batting an eye. But something stopped me this time. Sure, her dress looks like one of those play mats with train tracks printed on them and yes, maybe the bottom half looks like cauliflower ear, but her sleek ponytail, flawless makeup and understated accessories effectively neutralize it. The hideousness of the dress is tempered by the awesomeness of the rest of her look. She’s like a fully-loaded Pinto. She breaks even.
