Grammy-winner Adele announced Friday that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki (who looks like a real life Alan Garner BTW) are expecting their first child together. Now people can ask her “When are you due?” without making her burst into tears. Us Magazine says:
The 23-year-old [singer], who is nearly four months along, wrote on her Website Friday, “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”
Adele isn’t pregnant in the picture above, so no need to get your pants in a self-righteous twist about cigarettes poisoning the fetus and all that. Seriously, I don’t know why everybody always freaks out when a pregnant woman smokes a cigarette or has a glass of wine. That’s what the placenta is for.
