Blake Lively of course wore Chanel to the Chanel Bijoux De Diamant 80th Anniversary party in New York last night, a backless silver silk dress that no doubt cost more than my car. It’s a pretty simple dress for couture, really. It almost looks like one I wore to homecoming in 10th grade. Granted, that dress didn’t start out backless — I kinda hulked out of it during a particularly vigorous bout of the Macarena — but I still made it work for me. That’s called “fashion improvisation,” ladies and gentlemen. You either have the gift or you don’t.
