Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty kicked off his new tour in Dublin by inviting girlfriend Kate Moss to join him onstage for some backup vocals and some fags.  World Entertainment Network News reports that the manager of the venue said,

“They came in the front door and chatted with the fans. Kate got up onstage at a few points and helped sing the chorus of a few songs. They both appeared to be in fine form.”

Unfortunately, as in most socialist regimes around the world, smoking is strictly prohibited in public in Ireland.  The pair faces a fine for violating the no-smoking laws in the Emerald Isle.  And I’m glad, because Pete Doherty and Kate Moss need to be punished severely for this kind of malfeasance.  I mean, heroin is bad and all, but it’s not like it’s tobacco or anything.  And giving cocaine to minors really isn’t that big a deal either.  It kinda got blown out of proportion.  So what if Pete likes to inject girls who’ve passed out with needles, and so what if Kate likes a little blow from time to time?  But I draw the line at smoking in public.  It’s one of the unforgiveable sins, along with beastiality and “Fast and the Furious 3:  Tokyo Drift.”
