Singer Pink, an avid animal rights supporter, recently chided Beyonce Knowles for wearing a fur coat. She told British newspaper News Of The World,
“[Beyonce] is a bitch! I only hope she gets bit on the [ass] by whatever animal she wears. Some of the practices are so cruel and as a celebrity you have a responsibility to think about the message you’re sending out by wearing fur.”
I personally think as a celebrity you have a responsibility to not go around looking like a disgusting bull dyke. That ranks way higher than not wearing fur. Pink should really think about that before she goes around blabbing to tabloids about Beyonce’s choice of attire. You know, that whole “speck of dust in your brother’s eye while ignoring the plank in your own.” I bet you didn’t think I could work scripture into this post, now did you? Well, I can, because I’m pretty sure that there’s a thinly-veiled reference to the coming of a “horned beast” in Revelations. If that’s not Pink, I don’t know who else they could be talking about. And anyway, Jesus totally agrees that Pink sucks.

She doesn’t wear leather shoes or coats…or use leather bags or own cars with leather seats anymore and she’s a pretty hard-core vegitarian. PETA is not the only charity that cares about animals either. In fact people not even associated with a charity care for animals, so that answers your who cares comment. Just because someone cares for an animal doesn’t mean they don’t care about humans. But let’s face it humans have more rights and more ability to live better then animals do. A homeless person may not have much but at least they are not forced to live in a cage that is way to small for them. Lucky to be fed or watered and no way to go search for it like a homeless person could. A homeless person may be cold but at least they don’t get electrocuted anally. Or have their head bashed in till they are unconscious or dead. At least they don’t have to worry about possibly being skinned alive. All to be some rich person’s coat, which is only for show. I mean were not talking a Native American surviving winter. Were talking about people who have a roof over their head and heat! Even if fur coats were going to be made just for homeless people I would still disagree with it. Because fur is not the only warmest coat. I mean skiers do not wear fur do they? They wear ski jackets. There is no need for an innocent animal to suffer like that. Even when it comes down to slaughter houses, things could be MUCH more humane!

Would you skin your precious Comet or Sparky alive for their fur, or fry up their legs or paws and dip them in ketchup? Then who is the real hypocrite? Folks, cows and pigs are mammals just like your cat or dog. They can form relationships and “love” just like your pet. So if you consider eating a cat or dog assinine then why is it okay to eat a cow or pig? Don’t ask about ducks and chickens because there is an argument there as well. In many countries they do eat cats and dogs as well as other mammals - so at least they’re not hypocritical. BTW, in China their regulations are so poor that the level of inhumanity is beyond speakable - currently there is a butchering of dogs (pet dogs - any dog) due to a rabies infestation. Even if the owner has record of their vaccination, they are “confiscated” and often times euthanized in front of the owner/family on the spot. Often times the “rabbit-fur” or “fox-fur” lined coat you get from Arden B. or Dillards is really cat fur as everything (over 50%) of “fur” sold in this country is made in China and the actual origination is questionable. I digress - but the point is, the benefits of a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle are endless and well-documented. I think the true hypocrite is the typical American who goes out to Ruth’s Chris, screams “GIVE ME A STEAK DAMMIT AND F*CK ALL YOU DIRTY HIPPIES AND PETA-HEADS!” on websites and goes home and feeds their pure-bred (in-bred) dog expensive brand name dog food. Not totally. I used to live WAY up north (above the Arctic Circle) and I gotta tell y’all- nothing (and I mean NOTHING) keeps you warmer than fur. GoreTex ain’t got nothing on good old fashioned bear skin.
I’m not opposed to the wearing of fur per se, but really, it’s more that there’s no way in Hell that any celeb is going anywhere cold enough to need it. It’s killing animals for no sake other than their skin. Even slaughtering a cow gets you the meat, the fat and bones and organs (which are used in various ways)- skinning a bunch of minks so some broad with more money than brains is just plain cruel.

Frankly, insulting Pink in this article is simply a distraction from the primary topic: Beyonce continues to wear fur despite several kind letters from the PETA asking her to stop. Even some of Beyonce’s fans plead for her to listen to their criticism on her disgusting and cruelly produced attire. The argument that Pink’s appearance is far more significant and appalling than Beyonce’s nonchalance about her fur-filled fashion line is simply ignorant, superficial, and uncalled for. I, as an animal lover, view the senseless murder of animals as an issue far more important than Pink’s so called “responsibility” to look a certain way. Let’s just face the facts: PETA has urged Beyonce on numerous occasions (one occasion is even caught on tape, which can be viewed at http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/prefs.asp?video=beyonce_dinner) to stop wearing and displaying fur in her fashion line, yet Beyonce has NOT agreed to end her fur-wearing rampage and has not given any reasons as to why. Why DOES Beyonce wear fur? Today, with so many alternatives (such as faux fur, which is even cheaper and sturdier than real fur), I see no reason as to why Beyonce has CHOSEN to ignore her devoted, animal-loving fans and PETA’s kind requests. Maybe Beyonce will one day realize what cruelty she is supporting and what kind of message she is sending out to the rest of the world, namely that animals are disposable and that this vile cruelty (including breaking the animals’ necks and eletrocution) should and will be continued with her accordance. Beyonce, if you value life so highly and present yourself as a caring and thoughtful individual, how is it that you (and I do not mean you specifically, I mean the people who skin the animals themselves. Even if you do not personally kill the animals, you still indirectly support the cruel fur industry by knowingly including fur in your fashion line, House of Dereon.) treat animals with such disregard? I believe that PETA and your devoted fans are aware of your busy and hectic lifestyle, yet finding the time to get rid of fur in your attire as well as your fashion line would mean the world to the people who have supported you since the beginning, namely your fans (including those in the PETA.) I hope this message comes through to everyone listening, and maybe, as fur continues to be boycotted by ordinary civilians as well as celebrities, we united can stop the fur industry once and for all. All we have to do is take it step by step, and remember, every person not purchasing fur brings us one step closer to saving an animal’s life.
PS: And this is not an issue if you disagree with PETA’s other policies or viewpoints on animal rights. It’s simply if you are against fur and animal cruelty in this field in general.
