Sharon Stone Shows Her Age
Ever wondered what image was to be conveyed by the metaphor “ravaged by the hands of time?” Well, you’re looking at it, folks. Sharon Stone showed up at the Behind the Camera Awards on Sunday looking exactly like she had been “ravaged by the hands of time.” And also kinda like time might have doused her face with ammonia and set it out to bake in the Ecuadorian sun for a week. Or seven. I guess premature aging is the unfortunate result of serving as the vessel of the Dark Lord. It’s a shame, because being the earthly manifestation of Lucifer himself seems to have taken a dreadful toll on her skin.

Actually she looks pretty good considering she’s close to hitting the big 5-0. She looks better than a lot of younger celebs I’ve seen in high-def (cough*Cameron Diaz*cough).

Before you refer to Sharon Stone as ANYTHING but brilliant you better ask yourself why you aren’t a member of M E N S A. You see she is. When you hear of her taking on a cause that she believes in Just remember she is smart enough to know that if you see something that you don’t like you are going to get a lot more done fixing it, that sitting around bitching about it. I don’t see a lot of her critics raising 76 MILLION dollars for AMFAR. Did you start and help operate a homeless shelter? I thought not! Sharon Did! Nice to see people backing Sharon Stone….wtf is up with this negative projection? I’d rather see a classy confident older chick who can still work what she’s got than insecure people who mutilate themselves to fit some ideal that will change in five years anyway.
Natural beauty (you know, the stuff that comes from the inside out like intelligence, talent, and generosity) is still the best, never goes out of style.

Here’s the deal: Sharon Stone is a Real Woman, with curves and beauty and intelligence, and yes, lines on her face. We are used to seeing over-botoxed and collagen pumped actresses. Because of this, we forget that beautiful women like our mothers, our aunts, our sisters, our friends, exsist and are real. I recently looked into the face of my 77 year old mother. She is so beautiful, and her skin is luminous. And yes, there are laugh lines and cry lines and worry lines — all signs of a well-lived life.
Take a look at Melanie Griffin or Meg Ryan; two actresses that are in Sharon’s same age category. They look horribly disfigured yet THEY HAVE NO WRINKLES. What you are seeing in Sharon Stone is natural and beautiful for what and who she is.
