Amy Winehouse Heads to Rehab
Amidst swirling rumors of being hospitalized for “exhaustion” (cough*bullshit*cough) the Daily Mail is reporting that singer/songwriter/total fucking mess Amy Winehouse may actually be headed to — where? Re-hab!
Amy Winehouse is on the verge of checking into rehab, a close friend said today. The 23-year-old singer is “seriously considering” the move after emergency treatment in a London hospital for a suspected overdose.
Despite growing concern at her wild partying, the star had always said she would not seek professional help. But a friend revealed she’s “very close” to changing her mind, adding: “Amy got a massive fright when she was hospitalised and is finally coming round to everybody’s pleadings with her to go to rehab.
Well, I think goes without saying that if you get famous with a song about not wanting to go to rehab — it’s pretty much a guarantee that your ass is going to end up there whether you like it or not. I believe the term for it is sardonic irony. Maybe next Amy can write a song about how she doesn’t want to be a chick with stupid hair and bad tattoos married to some wiener. Whoops, too late — better luck next time!

She needs to go to rehab and the psychologist, at the least. And some singing lessons wouldn’t hurt. And a haircut. I could go on and on. Yeah, she’s trying to go for the “unique” look, but last time I checked dead-looking hair and mismatching ugly-anyway clothes don’t complete the look. (Not to mention the eyelash thing sticking out on her face. Yeah, I want to draw on people’s faces with markers too, but resist it, PLEASE?)

Despite the fact that I give her credit for not being as stupid as Paris and Lindsay getting behind the wheel and risking other people’s lives, she really needs psychiatric counseling as well as detox.
She’s 23, and probably never thought at such a young age that she would be so popular and famous. Her recent album has gone double platinum earning her tons of money. She’s appeared at MTV’s music awards, David Letterman, and has done tons of interviews including making cover of Rolling Stone. For a 23 year old, this can really excite a person to the point where she’s at. You walk into a club and everybody offers you whatever you want. Free champagne, booze, etc etc. In the enetertainment business, it’s not surprising. With good counseling, she can handle all that publicity and fame with sophistication. She seems smart enough NOT to expose herself publicly like Lindsay, Paris, or Britney. And that’s a good sign of maturity. Hell she even got married secretly to avoid media attention but of coarse there’s always one that gets tipped. These other girls really need to grow the hell up and stop letting all the photographers know what club they’re going to be making asses of themselves at. The fact that Amy tries to keep herself private indicates that she’s not all about wanting to be famous, she just is. Counceling, therapy, and detox. She’ll pull through. When she gets herself together, maybe Lindsay and the bunch could learn from her. So c’mon Amy, set a good example! We love you girl!!
