Polka dots have never been my thing and I absolutely HATE peplum, but for some reason I loved the polka dot peplum dress Amy Adams wore to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival yesterday. I don’t know what to make of it. It goes against everything I’ve ever believed about fashion. Does this mean I should reevaluate my stance on fringe and gold lamé, too? Are over-the-forehead headbands actually cool? It’s like my whole world’s been turned upside down. I don’t know what to believe anymore!
HER LOOK: Amy is wearing a dress from Jenny Packham’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, Kimerberly McDonald earrings, and Jimmy Choo satin peep toe pumps.
HER LOOK FOR LESS: Marc by Marc Jacobs polka dot dress ($248) + tourmaline drop earrings by Pippa Smalls ($975) + Salvatore Ferragamo black satin pumps ($250) = $1,509. Her Kimberly McDonald earrings alone cost ten grand, so think of this look as saving you eighty-five hundred, not costing you fifteen. That’s how I’m going to explain it when he gets the bill, anyway.
