Olivia Wilde’s Gucci menswear-inspired look has too-long sleeves and too little shirt, and the pants are either too big or too short, I can’t decide, but either way, they’re wrong. The whole thing is just kinda sloppy looking. The menswear trend is so much better when it’s tailored to a woman’s body — it’s the dichotomy between the masculine attire and the feminine form that makes it work in the first place. Otherwise it just comes off like you borrowed your 14-year-old brother’s suit and thought nobody would notice if you didn’t bother with a shirt. Not wearing a shirt can’t be your answer for everything, you know. You can only play that card so many times after freshman year.
