Chris Brown just issued a statement saying that he had broken up with girlfriend Karreuche Tran because of his recent “reconnection” with ex-girlfriend/punching bag Rihanna, and then last night, he posted a video of himself drunkenly waxing about “the real Chris Brown” and claiming still love both of the women. The Huffington Post says:
“I’m a little drunk so I’m going to be honest,” says Brown at the beginning of a nearly two-minute video titled “The Real Chris Brown,” which shows the singer speaking in a car and is spliced with images of him partying with Rihanna.
“When you share history with somebody, then you tend to fall in love with somebody else, it’s kinda difficult,” Brown says. “Is there such thing as loving two people? I don’t know. I don’t know if that’s possible, but for me, I feel like that. I don’t want to hurt either-or. I’m not trying to be a player.”
“I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna.”
Production value aside, I don’t even know what to say here. At this point, our only hope is that they’re both sterile and natural selection wins out in the end.
