A little over two weeks ago, an armed gunman walked into a Colorado theater the opening night of “The Dark Knight Rises” and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 people and injuring another 58. Dane Cook, being the comedic mastermind that he is, decided to work the mass murder into his standup routine at the Laugh Factory in L.A. last night. He says:
“I heard that the [gunman] came into the theater about 25 minutes into the movie. And I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie, but the movie’s pretty much a piece of crap. Yeah, spoiler alert. I know that if none of that would have happened, I’m pretty sure that somebody in that theater, about 25 minutes in realizing it was a piece of crap, was probably like, ‘Ugh, fucking shoot me.’”
Hey, that “joke” reminds reminds me of another joke I heard today — what can clear a theater faster than an armed gunman? Answer: Dane Cook. God I hate that asshole.
