There are reports today that couple of two years Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have gone their separate ways. People Magazine says

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have split, a source close to the actress tells PEOPLE.

No further details were given.

Um, that’s it? No reasons why or any other corroborating details that might explain what went wrong? Look, you can’t just come out of left field slinging accusatory and inflammatory statements willy-nilly and without any credible sources to back you up. Mainly because that’s sorta my deal. Otherwise it wouldn’t say “providing aimless conjecture and unsubstantiated claims since 2006!” right here on my business cards.
