A massively photoshopped Jessica Simpson and her new baby Maxwell Drew are front and center on the cover of this week’s issue of People Magazine, who reportedly shelled out $800,000 for the photos. That’s enough for the nacho cheese fountain and the ranch dressing hose! People says:

Simpson and Johnson… share the first photos of their little Maxwell Drew, who’s inherited her mom’s eyes and her dad’s calm demeanor.

“We stare at her all the time,” says Simpson. “We can’t get enough!”

She might have mommy’s eyes and daddy’s temperament, but it’s mommy’s love affair with Colonel Sanders and gestational diabetes that she can thank for those cheeks. On the plus side, they should be able to support her head nicely until her neck comes in.
