Lindsay Lohan is claiming that the stress from her arrest for hit-and-run last week precipitated a lung infection that put her in the hospital Sunday night. You know how stress is always wreaking havoc on the pulmonary system. TMZ says:

Lohan was rushed to the emergency room in NYC Sunday night with a lung infection but was released a short time later.

Now, Lindsay’s telling friends the arrest caused her so much anxiety, it landed her in the hospital — exacerbating the “walking pneumonia” she’s been suffering from the last few weeks.

Lindsay is blaming stress for her damaged lungs.

Yes, it was the stress that damaged her lungs. Not smoking or tertiary-stage syphilis.
