UPDATE: Lindsay Lohan’s Hearing Did Not Go Well — Jail :(

Several media outlets were convinced that Lindsay Lohan was going to walk out of her probation hearing this morning scott-free, but that wasn’t the case. At all. TMZ says:

Lindsay Lohan is in custody after Judge Elden Fox shockingly denied her bail… and Lindsay could be sitting there until October 22.

Judge Fox did not hear any argument from the lawyers before making his ruling. Lindsay was handcuffed in court before being taken into custody.

It’s shocking because the underlying offense is a misdemeanor, and people connected with the case were telling us the judge had to offer Lindsay bail.

As for Lindsay’s reaction … she was shocked when the judge remanded her into custody. Lindsay looked at her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holly, before being taken out of the courtroom.

And she’s gonna be there until October 22 — with no chance of an early release. Which means I’ve obviously entered a Bizzaro Earth in a parallel dimension. The third stall at the McGuire’s Pub must have been the rift in the space-time continuum, because that’s where I woke up this morning.

UPDATE: So Lindsay’s lawyer filed an appeal on the grounds that she was unlawfully denied bail since the charges against her were misdemeanors. And guess who’s now out on $300,000 bail fifteen hours after being taken into custody? But she has to wear a SCRAM bracelet and stay away from bars, because that’s worked so well for her in the past and everything. Unbelievable.

Don’t want to say I was right again, but I was right. Again.
She will spend the next few years in and out of jail.
There goes what was left of her career.
    No Lovelace movie.
And SNL? You gotta be kidding.

Perfect example of how celebrities today expect that they’re exempt from consequences like the rest of us rabble.
