She’s never been one to shy away from photoshop before, but these unretouched pictures from Madonna’s Spring/Summer Dolce & Gabbana campaign ought to show you just how much damage was un-done with the healing brush and patch tools. She looks like a cross between Courtney Love and Bea Arthur on roids. Even E.T.’s forearms weren’t that crêpey and disgusting.

one thing i can say about louise, is i’ve known her since we were, what maybe eight years old and she was visiting her father in detroit. she is a very beautiful woman, and no madonna, i don’t still have that little green ring.
LSD is a helluva drug.
I don’t believe these “before Photoshop” pictures are any more real than the Easter Bunny.
This looks like the work of the same dumb ass who released pictures of Madonna last summer looking like Karen Carpenter on crack. I almost fell for it, too, until a couple of days later I was at her Sticky & Sweet Tour and she looked nothing but awesome.
So she has a few veins here and there cos unlike most of us she doesn’t sit in front of a computer doing shit all day, she works, and has worked all her life, she has hands of a hard worker. So??? get a life.
So the bulging veins are in two photos and they are gone in the others? I don’t see any veins bulging grossly in the one she is leaning against the table or holding the stockings …so quit trying to justify your sad existence bringing other people down!!!!
Wait, hold on, let me get this straight. Is someone suggesting that a woman in her mid-50′s isn’t in the physical condition of a teenager?
LUDICROUS!
Sure I’m a Madonna fan but i’m not so biased to not notice the differences in these photos. however, I’m also a photographer that works with photoshop. the only major difference i’m seeing are those veins and they’re in one lousy photo. plus look at how she’s positioned in that particular one. i mean seriously? this is the catalyst for claiming surprise at the ad industry’s use of editing their photos? how old are you? they were doing this sort of stuff before photoshop too. why are there arrows pointing to her hair? i’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be messy. and it’s not like they fixed her hair digitally. do you even know what’s being referenced in this series of ads. i’m surprised you didn’t claim shock that they were taken in color and how dare they falsify them as black n white. well, that’s also because of the reference. It’s from an italian film.
If they’d have left her as-is, you’d still be crying about those veins. I think you need to do a mad search through all her recent photos for those notorious veins to make what little point you’re trying to make.
Otherwise, it sounds like you’re just looking for a reason to rag on the woman. let me guess, you’re not a fan? and all your heroes have perpetual healthy looking arteries in all their publicity and ad work? give me a break. Try harder next time. At least know your enemies.
I think she actually looks pretty amazing without the retouching. I hate the fact that our society doesn’t feel women should age. Beauty is about knowing oneself and inner confidence, and that’s why someone like Helen Mirren is gorgeous, or Ellen Degeneres. They are glowing from somewhere inside. Look at Kelly Osbourne and how her love for herself has made her just start glowing. Wrinkles and sagging skin and veins and age spots are marks of having lived, and like grey hair on Richard Gere, or the crows feet when Tina Turner smiles, beauty is from the soul and not based on youth, or even looking like the next person… Please, next you’ll tell me that gay people are like the blemishes of society and should hide it, like they would air brush a picture… Hmmm…
MADONNA IS ALWAYS JUST GREAT! NO DOUBT.
I’m a physician and they “veins” show above in the altered photograph above do not exist. Someone obviously added those fake veins to make Madonna appear older.
