France’s far-right National Front is threatening to sue Madonna after she showed an image of party leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika superimposed on her forehead, so in a half-assed attempt at placating the offended, Madonna charged $350 a ticket for a private concert where she sang for half an hour and then blathered about equality for 15 minutes. You can imagine how well that went over with the fans. The Daily Mail says:

Madonna ended up booed off stage in Paris on Thursday night after only singing for around 30 minutes – and spending 15 minutes ‘wittering on about politics’.

When she did not reappear for an encore, audience members began jeering, booing and pelting the stage with bottles, [with] many shouting out demanding a refund.

Ticket prices for sold-out gig started at $150 rising to $350, but were exchanging hands on the black market for up to $1200.

Wait until the offending party leaves, then scream insults and throw things once they’re no longer there to fight back. That sounds like the French, alright. The only thing that’s missing is the part where they run away clutching both ass cheeks and crying.
