S.S. Scarlett Johansson in Elle Canada

Scarlett Johansson graces the cover of next month’s Elle Canada, which poses an interesting question: why would Elle have a Canadian edition? Canada is about the least fashionable country ever, right behind Turkmenistan and The Federated States of Micronesia. There’s only so much you can write about the versatility of the Maple Leaf away-game jersey or the panache that ear flaps add to any woolen hat before it starts to get redundant.

To answer your question, a lot of magazines have “Canadian” editions that are exactly the same as their US counterpart, but with Canadian specific advertising. The selection of products here blows so exotic beers like Michelobe or foods like Oscar Meyer hot dogs are wasted when advertised to us.

The part about the hockey jersey and hat cracked me up though, cause that’s exactly how most of the average morons are dressed here this time of year….lol

They’re playing up the Ryan Reynolds connection?

I’m no expert on Canada, but what you say about fashion is kinda true. They seem rather pragmatic about dressing. Even big, cosmopolitan cities like TOR and MTL are that way.

well at least our hockey jerseys come in sizes small to large … unlike south of our borders where haute couture is forced to come in double & triple extra large sizes …

    we love comfort reality …

My friend told me SeekingAffluent.com. It’s where many highly successful people are in search of someone for a quality relationship in their life, the same as you:)
