Your wait is finally over, folks — Kevin Federline’s children’s clothing line is about to become a reality! The former backup dancer-turned-rapper is in talks with Gerard Guez about obtaining a bonafide licensing deal in the near future. Woman’s Wear Daily quotes K-Fed as saying

“I’m trying to make a quality product for kids but not have parents pay like $500 or something ridiculous for a pair of jeans. You buy your kids a pair of True Religions then they roll around in the dirt like kids do and a $200 pair of jeans is gone. With this economy, I’m looking to do something much more reasonable.”

There are lots better ways of letting your kid know you hate him other than sending him to school in K-Fashion. You could hit him with a belt over and over again while asking why he didn’t go down the drain with the rest of the afterbirth, for example. Some people just have no business being parents.

Katie Holmes’ reaction to news of the K-Fashion:

Good Lordy, hang on to yer pinafores, ladies, because Jessica Simpson is coming out with her own clothing line! Soon, you too can wear double-belted high-waisted mom jeans, a ruffled pink skirt with peek-a-boo back, pretty purple checkered frocks, while you chug down your Stampede Light Plus! Now Magazine explains,

‘I want to create clothes that flatter every figure,’ she tells In Style.

‘We want to reach every type of person - and we do. I’m all about you wearing the dress, not the dress wearing you. I know what flatters a woman, and trust me, I’ve been judged a lot in my life. By now I know what works if you’re curvy.’

Well, if her past wardrobe choices are any indication of what to expect…I assume I’ll be able to see them soon at a Ross or Marshall’s near me.

“The Hills” star Lauren Conrad will be designing a dress for next month’s Emmy Awards. Expect plenty of modal jersey and lycra blends. People magazine says

Lauren will be dressing the show’s “trophy girls” who bring the awards on stage for the eventual winner. Conrad elaborated, “I’m doing one [dress]. I may be doing two. It’s a huge compliment to be asked to do that, and it was really amazing to be taken seriously.”

Just like a real fashion designer with their own successful clothing line! Except not so much. According to TMZ

We’ve learned that Kitson — the boutique that [has a] deal with her clothing line — has finally just thrown up its hands and is giving away the rest of its Lauren overstock. They’re giving away her collection to Caitlin’s Closet, a charity that gives girls dresses for their big events, like the prom and homecoming.

From what I gather, they’re giving it away because it sucks and it was just a bunch of hype. Kinda like France’s men’s swim team, but with more eyelet closures and bustline pleats.
