Denise Richards absolutely butchered “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” at Cubs game charity event over the weekend. Ho-ly shit. She’s unbelievably bad. You half-expect to see glasses shattering and windows splintering as they pan over the stadium crowd. On the plus side, we finally have an answer to the age-old question that has plagued non-veterinarians for centuries: what does a cat being neutered sounds like? Now you’ll never have to wonder again!

I think it’s kind of fun when celebrities don’t take themselves so seriously, especially when they’re B-list celebrities like Denise Richards. You either become an anorexic neighing philly like Tori Spellingbemoaning the pressures of Hollywood, or you go the trashy route like Denise. I pick Denise! Her Funny or Die spoof TV advertisement has gotten one Florida businessman bent out of shape, however. At the end of the advert, a order phone number flashes on screen and she quickly adds: “First 50 callers get a picture of my boobs!” The sketch, which has been viewed almost 300,000 times, is causing unwanted calls to Bharat Raja Chatani’s Luggage Gallery Store in Miami, who is getting tired of getting asked about “funbags”. Ha!
By the way, is that Frodo’s little sister at the 1:05 mark?
Lindsay Lohan, in a desperate attempt to convince you she’s not on the brink of suicide and self-destruction, chronicles all the drama of the past few years as selling points in this parody eHarmony profile for Funny or Die. Don’t be mislead by the name, though. It’s not funny, and nobody dies. I watched it twice just to make sure. Not since Ben-Gay and Spanx has a product been more disappointingly misrepresented.

Funny or Die has a clip of Gina Gershon as Sarah Palin addressing the “issues” surrounding her nomination for Vice President. It’s pretty awesome, although making fun of Sarah Palin isn’t really that hard. Kinda like how making fun of retarded kids or fat people isn’t hard. The fact of the matter is that Sarah Palin is a fucking moron. But like Homer Simpson once said, “Facts are meaningless. You could use “facts” to prove anything that’s even remotely true.” I figure that’s probably going to be the crux of the entire McCain-Palin campaign. Also, “I don’t have to be careful — I’ve got a gun!” and “Remember, as far as anyone knows, we’re a nice normal family.”
It pains me to say this, but Funny or Die’s Paris Hilton mock campaign ad is really funny. In response to the John McCain ad that used her image as a reference for Barack Obama’s “celebrity” status, several clever writers put together a wittily self-effacing response for Paris to parrot back to the cameras. God knows she could never come up with something that funny herself. Left to her own devices, it’d just be footage of her making “sexy” faces into the camera and blowing air kisses into a three way mirror. I’d rather watch Mario Cantone read the Physician’s Desk Reference aloud in a g-string and ladies’ sunhat.
