Katie Holmes danced and sang her way through a Judy Garland tribute on the 100th episode of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” last night to promote her new charity, The Dizzy Feet Foundation, which helps underprivileged children “experience dancing.” Because if there’s anything poor kids are sorely lacking these days, it’s knowing how to do the Cha-Cha and the Watusi. The Daily Mail says
The routine begins with Katie, dressed in a retro 1940s white skirt suit, stepping out of a classic car onto a pebbled street.
She then leans against a lamp post and begins singing the legend’s famous lyrics.
The scene then switches to a stage routine, with Katie dressed in little more than a hat, black tuxedo jacket and fishnets.
As she high-kicks her way through the song, she’s surrounded by muscular male dancers.
Belting out Judy Garland in a pair of fishnets surrounded by sweaty gyrating mens sounds less like a foray into charity and more like Tom Cruise’s wet dream magically come to life. You know what they say — if you can’t live vicariously through your children, live vicariously through your handler-screened animatronic shell of a wife! Or something like that.
