One of the big headlines this morning is that Beyonce’s father Matthew Knowles will no longer be acting as her manager. Why anyone gives a shit about this is beyond me. Us Magazine says:

After a professional lifetime together, the superstar and her father Matthew Knowles have parted ways, with Matthew no longer managing the “Halo” singer.

“I’ve only parted ways with my father on a business level,” Beyonce [said] in a statement. “He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother [Tina Knowles] manage and own their own businesses. They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps.”

Matthew [says of] the momentous decision: “We mutually agreed to part ways in terms of me managing Beyonce, as my focus is in the investment of Music World Entertainment’s growing gospel and inspirational music division, which includes Top 10 artists Trinity 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Micha Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Dr. Juanita Bynum.Because of the success of all of these artists, my focus has to be on gospel now.”

There were a lot of words in that statement, not one of them “bikini.” Fortunately, I’ve taken it upon myself to rectify that.

From her Sports Illustrated shoot a few years back:

Britney Spears’ boyfriend Jason Trawick is no longer her manager — Britney fired him so he could “concentrate on being her boyfriend with no financial ties.” Ooh, looks like somebody dared to tell her that KFC wasn’t really a tax write-off. According to Page Six

Her rep confirmed, “Britney Spears and her longtime agent, Jason Trawick, have decided to end their professional relationship and focus on their personal relationship.” A source told us, “Jason struggled with being on her payroll as her manager while they were dating. He wanted things to be on a more level footing,” adding their romance was still strong.

This is totally fucking boring, but Google Trends says you want to talk about it, so let’s talk, shall we? Let’s see… there’s, um, the whole “conflict of interest” thing… and, um… I dunno… fried chicken’s probably involved, I guess — hey, look! Sports Illustrated cover girl Brooklyn Decker is doing a cartwheel! In a bikini! With a huge camel toe! I think I’ve said everything that needed saying here.

Rihanna has finally seen the error of her ways and kicked Chris Brown to the curb — not because he beat the living shit out of her and threatened to kill her, mind you, but because he won’t dump his 39-year-old manager Tina Davis. A source told Access Hollywood

“Rihanna’s unhappy, and she has been for some time unhappy with the relationship that Chris Brown has with Tina Davis. It’s not exactly clear whether or not it is a sexual relationship, but Rihanna has come out and given Chris Brown the ultimatum.”

There have been rumors swirling for years that Brown and Davis have had a relationship that went beyond their business ties. Apparently [Brown] refused to part ways with his manager — who acted as his mentor, and maybe more, since his early teens — so he sided with Davis over his Covergirl girlfriend.

Funny, I just read something about this guy who liked bangin’ some old broad over a hot young piece of ass. Oedipus, I think his name was. I’m pretty sure it had a happy ending.
