Charlie Sheen’s porn star pal Kacey Jordan tried to kill herself last night. But instead of it being a cry for help, it was a desperate attempt at attention. Says TMZ,

Kacey Jordan–a porn star who partied with Charlie Sheen during his cocaine binge back in January — tried to kill herself last night … this according to police.

Law enforcement sources tell us … the Chicago Police Department raced to the Peninsula Hotel around 6:51 PM last night after receiving calls from the hotel after Kacey twittered several suicidal messages … saying she had taken a bunch of pills and alcohol and was waiting to die.

We’re told when cops got to the hotel, Kacey was sitting on her bed — with prescription pill bottles, broken glass and alcohol all over her room.

Law enforcement sources tell us Jordan had cuts and scrapes to her wrists and arms … but insisted the suicide messages were merely a publicity stunt.

While Kacey was talking to police, we’re told the porn star grabbed a corkscrew bottle opener … tried to run out of the room … and attempted to cut herself.

Cops eventually subdued Kacey before she could further harm herself and took her to a nearby hospital for a mental evaluation.

We’re told cops reported the incident as a non-criminal suicide attempt.

No word on Jordan’s condition.

At the point when the law enforcement determined that she was just doing it for publicity, I would say that they should have taken her to get her stomach pumped, prescription pills OD or not. But then she’s used to having things rammed down her throat, so there wouldn’t really be any fun in that.

Fans and friends were shocked by the untimely death of actress Brittany Murphy on Sunday morning. The ‘Clueless’ and ‘Girl, Interrupted’ actress went into full cardiac arrest, and paramedics were unable to revive her. Murphy, 32, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and LA County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told the press Sunday evening that the tragedy was likely the result of natural causes, reports Access Hollywood.

Capt. John Kades of the coroner’s office says, “Foul play is not suspected at this time because there were no outward signs of trauma or other injuries,” according to PEOPLE.

Some colleagues were concerned about Murphy weeks before her death. The actress showed up for the for the opening of Tt Collection’s Pop-Up shop in LA, looking rail thin. Reports that she’d been let go from a film shooting for disrupting the set were denied by her rep, who claimed, “She was not nor has she ever been fired from any job big or small … [Due] to creative differences Ms. Murphy and the production mutually parted ways.”

The director of Murphy’s 2008 project ‘Across the Hall,’ Alex Merkin, said that the actress was always professional but acknowledged she’d been dealing with personal issues. “I just remember she was going through a lot at the time surrounding her husband being in the hospital.”

Sources claim that Murphy herself didn’t cause the disruption on set – husband of two years, Simon Monjack did. “Monjack came on the set inebriated,” ‘Shrinking Charlotte’ director Michael Z Gordon told The Hollywood Reporter. “The producers wanted to keep him away. Brittany of course defended him. And so she was let go.”

TMZ reports that the actress had experienced flu-like symptoms in the days leading to her death, and that Murphy was seriously ill a few hours before she collapsed. Sources told the website that Murphy began vomiting early Sunday morning. The sources also claimed that authorities found no illegal drugs in Murphy’s home, but it is apparent that the actress was taking some prescription medications. After the 911 call, Murphy’s mother Sharon told paramedics her daughter was diabetic.

Witnesses told TMZthat Murphy’s husband told hospital staff that he did not want an autopsy performed on his wife. However, as part of the coroner’s investigation, a pending autopsy has been confirmed.

“We don’t have an autopsy scheduled yet, but we will do it as soon as possible,” Kades said. “Given all the worldwide attention, if we can get it done [Monday], we will.”

“The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy,” Murphy’s family said in a statement. “She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time.

Michael Lohan claims to have numerous phone tapes and messages left by ex-wife Dina that prove that daughter Lindsay is an out-of-control drug addict, and he’s going to be releasing them to the media next week. According to the NY Daily News

“I have proof that Dina has told me Lindsay is on death’s doorstep, that she doesn’t have much time left. There have been frantic calls. And I’m going to prove that Dina is the liar, not me.”

The whole world is about to hear it: A source confirms that Michael is set to air the numerous voice-mail messages she’s left on Monday’s “Entertainment Tonight.”

“She has expressed to me that Lindsay is in dire, dire need of an intervention,” Michael said. “My lawyers told me to keep every single conversation – and I did.”

Who exactly is he trying to convince she’s an addict with all this? It’s not like the rest of the goddamn world doesn’t already know. If he really wants to reach his daughter, blathering on Maury and Entertainment Tonight isn’t going to cut it. He needs to put his message about knee-level in an L.A. nightclub’s men’s bathroom or on the bottom of a bottle of vodka. It’s the only way she’ll ever see it.
