“Jon & Kate Plus 8’s” Jon and Kate Gosselin have informed the public that they will be announcing a “life-changing decision” on the June 22nd episode of their show. MSNBC says

Many assume the couple will announce they’re getting a divorce. A source close to the situation says that Kate recently met with a divorce lawyer and Jon will file papers next week.

According to other sources who know the couple, [it's only a trial separation]. “They’ve met with a lawyer, but divorce is not a definite,” says the source. “Right now, it’s in the best interest to them — and let’s be honest, the show — to ride out a separation.”

No one likes to hear the words “life-changing decision,” but really, it could mean so many different things. I know the time mom and dad sat me down and told me my life was about to change, it had nothing to do with divorce. It was more of a “Dad’s decided he’s going to live the rest of his life as a woman” kind of thing. I guess we’ll just have to wait until Monday and see.

‘Morning, boys and girls, it’s Sonya today. Surprise, surprise, another Hollywood marriage bites the dust as Sean Penn files for legal separation from Robin Wright Penn, better known (to me, at least) as Princess Buttercup. People reports,

Sean Penn has filed for legal separation from his wife of 13 years, Robin Wright Penn, court papers filed last week in Marin County, Calif., show.

The actor is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their children, daughter Dylan, 18 and son Hopper, 15. He is also requesting that the court not award any spousal support to Wright Penn. The papers show the couple separated on April 23.

Poor Robin. I had hoped that she would have found “Wuv, twu wuv” , but it looks like she got stuck with more of a Humperdink than a Westley. Of course, if she really misses his face, she could always get a toothless grandma to suck on a lemon. Same thing.

Despite denying marital trouble for months now, Madonna has reportedly hired celebrity divorce lawyer Nicholas Mostyn. According to Digital Spy

The singer is starting divorce proceedings against her husband Guy Ritchie. The singer apparently met the legal representative at his London office ten days ago.

It was unclear whether Madonna was meeting with Mostyn to begin legal paper work or if she was just there to challenge him to a good old-fashioned arm-wrestling contest. You don’t get those kind of veins without mastering the top roll and hook techniques, baby!

It’s official — the marriage of Pamela Anderson and Rick Saloman is over. The couple was granted an annulment yesterday on grounds of fraud. TMZ says

Both Rick and Pam privately stipulated to fraud. Pam promised Rick they would have children together. As we reported, Pam was pregnant at the time the couple separated. Shortly after the separation, we learned Pam was no longer pregnant.

Well, I guess “fraud” does sound better than “she had the fetus torn into chunks and vacuumed out of her snatch after our first fight.” Kinda like how “It’s not you; it’s me” sounds better than “I slept with your roommate and maxed out all the credit cards I opened in your name.” Ladies, I hope you’re taking notes.
