The late Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack was found dead last night at his home in Hollywood Hills. His death comes less than six months after Brittany’s untimely death from cardiac arrest in December of last year. TMZ reports:

Law enforcement sources say Brittany’s mother, Sharon, found Monjack unconscious in the master bedroom around 9:30PM, and then called 911.

Monjack was pronounced dead sometime after paramedics arrived.

LAPD is at the home now along with the coroner and a death investigation is underway.

No further details have yet to be released, but I think I know how it all went down: an assortment of moules marinieres, pate de foie gras, beluga caviar, eggs benedictine, leek tarts, frogs’ legs amandine and quail’s eggs on a bed of pureed mushroom all mixed together in a bucket, followed by a double jeroboam of champagne and one wafer-thin mint. I just feel sorry for the crime scene investigation team and whoever got to clean it all up.

UPDATE: Some are suggesting it might be an overdose of prescription drugs. Clearly, they haven’t seen the reenactment video.

Here’s one to file under “disturbing”: the late Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack is reportedly romantically involved with her invalid mother. I’ll give you a second here to try to suppress the dry heaves. According to Nine MSN:

Brittany Murphy’s husband has denied reports that he is now in a relationship with his late wife’s mother.

Simon Monjack and Sharon Murphy have been living together since Brittany’s death in December last year, but he insists they are only sharing a house to support each other through their grief.

When questioned about his relationship with Sharon, Simon told The Sun, “We don’t have sex, number one. I live downstairs, she lives upstairs.”

The mother and son in law are planning to move to New York together this year.

So the first thing out of his mouth is “we don’t have sex.” Just right off the bat. Bam. That’s a little unsettling, don’t you think? To borrow from Scene III, Act II of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the fat man “doth protest too much, methinks!” Which naturally brings to mind Lady Macbeth’s plea, “You spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here!” and King Richard’s “Now begins the winter of our discontent.” There weren’t any Bardisms about throwing up a little in your mouth and gouging out your mind’s eye. I checked.

I’ve always said Lindsay Lohan was a whore, but I never thought she’d take it so literally — Lilo will be auctioning off herself to the highest bidder in order to “raise money for charity” next week. Wink, wink. The Examiner says

I have a feeling this “charity” is not really a charity it all, but a do-ragged coke dealer named Stabby. Sorta like the “charity” Simon Monjack set up in Brittany Murphy’s name that wasn’t actually a charity, either. According to TMZ

Tthe foundation — run by Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack — hadn’t filed the necessary documents to qualify as a charity or nonprofit group. As soon as we called the foundation for comment, the website immediately shut down.

But late Sunday the website resurfaced with a message — it would return all the donations “until we have our non-profit status approved before proceeding to insure that we can truly honor Brittany’s charitable desires.”

And I’m sure that “paying off Simon Monjack’s credit card debt” was first and foremost among Brittany’ Murphy’s charitable desires, followed by “paying off Simon Monjack’s attorneys’ fees” and “buying Simon Monjack a dozen custom-tailored Armani suits.” It’s a shame that her dreams and desires are going to have to be shelved because of the government and their bullshit bureaucratic red tape.

And good luck finding someone who’ll bid more than a pack of Newport Ultra Lights and a couple of bus tokens for a night with this hot mess:

Simon Monjack has finally cracked the case of wife Brittany Murphy’s untimely death late last year — it was because she was fired from the Happy Feet sequel. Makes perfect fucking sense, doesn’t it? Page Six says

Brittany Murphy’s grieving husband says he’s suing Warner Bros. over her death, claiming: “They killed her.”

Simon Monjack alleges that Murphy died from stress just two weeks after the studio fired her from the “Happy Feet” sequel. Monjack [said], “She was devastated . . . You’re disposable as an actress or actor.”

Okay, let’s see here. We’ve got Simon Monjack, whose wedding to Brittany just happened to coincide with his facing deportation for an expired visa (for which he spent 9 days in jail, BTW), a guy who was charged with credit card theft and fraud, a guy who tried to pass off a cubic zirconia ring as a diamond to his other fiancee, and a guy who reportedly engaged in homosexual affairs when nobody was looking. But Warner Brothers is supposed to be the bad guy in all this? Come on. If it were any more obvious it was Simon Monjack, he’d have on a black-and-white striped suit and dollar signs where his pupils should be.
